I don’t know about you, but I’m finding it more of a struggle these days to use products that are not 100% natural and/or have drying agents in the ingredients such as alcohol. It’s so much more interesting and fun to indulge in creating a product that is tailor made to your own hair type.
Knowing exactly what goes into the ingredients and achieving an aesthetically pleasing finish is something that I love to get involved in along my natural hair journey. I used to shy away from DIY’s but now you can’t stop me.
Gel is a big part of my every day styling but I had to change the game by making my own Flaxseed Gel - besides, there’s been so much hype about it.
I’ve recently discovered that Flaxseeds are high in Omega-3 fatty acids which avoids a dry, scaly scalp, and nourishes your hair. It also increases the hair elasticity – which means less breakage, reduces dandruff, eczema, and other scalp conditions. Trust me, Flaxseeds NEEDS to be in my life!
This is the incredible results my DIY gives me - shine, definition and great hold.
